FW

Recently there has been a lot of discussion in the media about Britney Spears' younder sister, Jamie Lynn, getting pregnent at just sixteen years old. A large amount of the discussion is about the fact that Jamie Lynn has a television show on Nickelodion, a network with a fan base consisting of elementary and middle school children. Should Miss Spears be fired from her show because of the example she would be setting for the viewers? I believe that Jamie Lynn should not be fired from the show. Obviously parents to do not want their children watching a show with a pregnent teenager as the main character so to have Jamie Lynn do the show during her pregnency is out of the question. A probationary period with the show on hiatus seems like the best solution to this problem. Or, if that is not enough for parents, a spin off of Jamie Lynn's show could be created in which she also appears at least periodically if not regurally. Everyone makes mistakes and had Jamie Lynn not been a celebrity the fact that she was sixteen and pregnent would not be such a big deal. In my educational career girls started getting pregnent at the mere age of twelve. A person should not be judged on the mistakes he/she has made but on the way he/she reacts and in a sense recovers from them.
